Academics of the University of South Bohemia among the most cited scientists in the world

Twenty academics from the University of South Bohemia are represented in the latest edition of the Most Cited Scientists list, compiled and published annually by Elsevier together with John P. A. Ioannidis, a statistician from Stanford University. This ranking, which draws on the Scopus database, is based on an index that combines six otherwise separately used citation indicators, including the simple citation count or Hirsch H-index. Thus, not all authors with the highest number of citations will rank among the best in terms of this composite index. More information about the structure of this index and the ranking itself can be found at the link https://elsevier.digitalcommonsdata.com/datasets/btchxktzyw/6

The academics represented are Jacky Cosson, Francesco de Bello, Danny Haelewaters, Jeffrey R. Johansen, Pavel Kalač, Antonín Kouba, Vlastimil Křivan, Jan Lepš, Julius Lukeš, Josef Maroušek, Amrit Mukherjee, Vojtěch Novotný, Fernando G. Noriega, Miroslav Oborník, Jiří Patočka, Karel Prach, Damad Rahimnejad, Hana Šantrůčková, Josef Velíšek, Galia Zamaratskaia. Congratulations.
